R. Edison Hill
R. Edison (Ed) Hill is a member/partner in the law firm of Hill, Peterson, Carper, Bee & Deitzler, PLLC. He founded this firm in June 1980 after leaving a large corporate law firm where he worked as an associate for three years. Mr. Hill is a trial attorney and spends his professional career exclusively representing individuals who have been seriously injured or families of wrongful death victims who have lost their lives as a result of others' negligence.

James C. Peterson
Mr. Peterson has been board-certified as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) since 1990. He has served in a variety of positions with state and national trial lawyer organizations, including president of the West Virginia Trial Lawyers' Association (1996-1997). He is certified to practice in the states of Minnesota, Ohio, and West Virginia, and has been admitted pro hac vice in a dozen other jurisdictions. While serving as chief corporate counsel for an international non-profit organization in the late 1970s, Mr. Peterson argued cases before several foreign jurisdictions.

W. Kent Carper
Mr. Carper has been a member of the Kanawha County Commission since July 1996. In addition to his work on the county commission, Mr. Carper is a former paramedic, former chief of police for Charleston, West Virginia, as well as a former Kanawha County assistant prosecuting attorney. In his legal practice, Mr. Carper does 99% personal injury work, and has occasionally participated in criminal defense. His cases range from small insurance pay-offs to larger ones, but he is a firm believer that every case, no matter what the monetary value, is significant. "Every case is the most important one to the client," Mr. Carper said, "and to me there is no insignificant case."

C. Michael Bee
C. Michael Bee was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, in 1950. With a B.A. from Marietta College, and a J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law, Mr. Bee’s legal career began when he was admitted to the West Virginia Bar 1976. He is also admitted to U.S. District Court, Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia. He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, Law School and Admissions Committee, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and West Virginia Association for Justice.

Harry G. Deitzler
Harry Deitzler has been a practicing trial attorney since 1976. As a member/partner of the Law Firm of Hill, Peterson, Carper, Bee & Deitzler, PLLC, Mr. Deitzler's primary field of legal concentration is representation of people in cases involving severe personal injury or death arising from negligence, defective product, unsafe workplace, groundwater contamination, or motor vehicle collision. Some of his cases have been significant class actions.

Sandra B. Harrah
Mrs. Harrah attended undergraduate school at Alderson-Broaddus College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1993. She also attended West Virginia University College of Law and obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1996. Currently, Mrs. Harrah is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, West Virginia Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. Mrs. Harrah has been named in the Who's Who in America.

Aaron Harrah
Aaron L. Harrah was born in Morgantown, WV, and raised in Charleston, WV. Aaron graduated from Marshall University in 1991 and was a small business owner until he attended law school. Aaron graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law and was admitted to practice in West Virginia. Aaron is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Aaron was a summer intern at Hill, Peterson, Carper, Bee, and Deitzler, PLLC and began working there full time in 2005.

James W. Hill
James Woodrow "Woody” Hill is an associate of Hill, Peterson, Carper, Bee & Deitzler PLLC. Before joining this firm, Mr. Hill worked for a law firm which represented businesses and individuals in general and complex litigation involving business disputes, including lender liability cases, general contract disputes, civil RICO cases, product liability cases, professional malpractice defense cases, catastrophic injuries, wrongful death cases, and selected white-collar criminal defense cases. Now Mr. Hill represents individuals that have been seriously injured or families of those that have lost their lives as a result of another’s negligence.

Douglas Spencer
Douglas Spencer has worked for Hill, Peterson, Carper, Bee and Deitzler, PLLC since 1995. He has been an associate attorney for the firm since 2003. He earned his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School located in Columbus, Ohio. Doug graduated cum laude from West Virginia State College with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He is a member of the West Virginia Association for Justice and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
